OK, SINCE I'M ROLLING DOWN MEMORY LANE RE: "LOLA" ON "SOME DUMB BLOG" ELSEWHERE HERE'S THIS...

We're in the car headed up to Washington, D.C., Henry Higuera driving the old rattletrap station wagon with the bad brakes, taking me up to the bus station to head on back to Little Rock from the 1973 Telluride Association Summer Program at Cremona Plantation (tobacco!) near Mechanicsville, Maryland.

And this comes on the radio, and Henry - a bass player, also known as "Mr. 1600" for his SAT scores, and the Cornell student/Telluride House resident who was factotum for the program to us high school juniors, along with Rhoda Pinn - is saying "This song is cheap trash!" or somesuch, while I was feeling like it made me wanna KICK SOME ASS!

(my own, dancing)

LOL. I think Henry knew (and knows) a lot more about Hume and Locke than I knew (or know) for sure, but I think I know (and knew) more about Rock and Roll!

Sincerely - bonze anne blayk

PS: Next year I would be visiting Jody Hochberg, a fellow TASPer, at her family's summer home. In Ithaca. For a month. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150110154852954&set=a.10150092218962954.281545.707147953&type=3&theater

Is it any wonder I remember this? LOL

"I'll take the blond, and you take the skinny one!" - Henry Higuera - as I recall, I kind of blushed at that stage whispered comment he made to me when we were dining out, somehow isolated from the others at our own table, with Peggy and me and Jody?
