DESCRIPTION:
In an unexpected corner of rural Kansas, a tribe of gypsy jazz and western swing aficionados recreate music from the past – with contemporary flair. Think Bob Wills meets the Andrews Sisters. The women share a Native American heritage and the band swings like Bing. Our tune celebrates a century-old arboretum, where the music originates, reminding us to turn off technology and be here now. Our little contribution to NPR's Tiny Desk Contest.
