DESCRIPTION:
My latest project--an Edison Standard with combination gearing. Currently just using a basic reproduction witch's hat horn, though screw holes in the back of the case indicate that it once had a crane installed for a large morning glory or similar horn. When I got it, the wooden case had been shattered and needed to be completely glued back together from splinters. The mechanism, however, needed very little aside from cleaning and oiling.

The record being played is a 2010 novelty release poking gentle fun at Brooklyn hipster culture (making its release on cylinder all the more entertaining). It was produced in a limited run of 50 copies--this record is #31, and was produced by the Vulcan Cylinder Record Company of Sheffield, which (as far as I know) is the only company currently publishing new indestructible cylinder records.
