Jamie Way is the sound of contradictions, filtering melodies through light before sending them screaming through a wringer of bourbon gruff with a 5 o'clock shadow. He's the sound of a disgruntled drummer covered in ash banging out his twisted renditions of top 40 hits. You know that familiar sound of hot dogs roasting over a blazing fire? He's that, but the fire is on your couch. It's finding comfort in an awkward situation. It's a sense of deja vu that never really happened. What we're getting at is that there's something about Jamie Way that rings a bell, it's just a very dirty and distorted bell.
