A BAND IS BORN:
In 2014, the icons of music Jon Anderson and Jean-Luc Ponty combined their musical talents to form a supergroup - Anderson Ponty Band. Jon Anderson is the original singer-songwriter of the legendary British progressive rock band, YES, for 35 years.

Internationally renowned virtuoso Jean-Luc Ponty is a pioneer and undisputed master of violin in jazz and rock. He is considered an innovator and a visionary who expanded the vocabulary of modern music. His musical biography is rather amazing…

Jean Luc with Frank Zappa: With Frank Zappa - Hot Rats (1969), Over-Nite Sensation (1973), Piquantique (1973), Apostrophe (1974), Shut Up 'n Play Yer Guitar (1981), The Lost Episodes (1996), One Shot Deal (2008, on only track "Australian Yellow Snow", recorded live at Hordern Pavilion, Sydney, Australia on 25 June 1973), Road Tapes, Venue 2 (2013, recorded live at Finlandia Hall, Helsinki, Finland on 23–24 August 1973).
Jean Luc also played with the Mahavishnu Orchestra - Apocalypse (1974) and Visions of the Emerald Beyond (1975).
And lets not forget his historical collaborations and recording with Stéphane Grappelli (RIP), Stanley Clarke & Al Di Meola, Elton John, and Chic Corea.

Anderson Ponty Band includes the awesome talents of::
Guitarist, Jamie Glaser, who has worked with Jean-Luc Ponty, Chick Corea, Lenny White and Bryan Adams;
Composer and keyboardist Wally Minko, who has played and recorded with many stars including Pink, Tom Jones, Toni Braxton, Barry Manilow, Gregg Rolie and Jean-Luc Ponty;
Bassist Baron Browne, who played with Steve Smith, Billy Cobham and Jean-Luc Ponty;
And drummer-percussionist Rayford Griffin, who played with Stanley Clarke Band, George Duke, Jean-Luc Ponty and Michael Jackson.

The group revisited the music created by Yes, Jon Anderson and Jean-Luc Ponty over the years with new arrangements, virtuoso performance and new energy. Jon approached Jean-Luc for the first time in the eighties in order to work together. Now, 30 years later, the dream has finally come of age. In addition to rearranging classic, Anderson Ponty Band has created new compositions breathtaking.
