Videoshot of the recordings of our readings of melodies and rhythms of the Yoruba deities Ochún and Babalu Aye. As released on Cd either as Mark Alban Lotz, Lotz Of Music In Havana (Via Jazz 1997) and Mark Lotz & Shango's Dance (Random Chance Records/LopLop 2004). These make part of a trilogy of CD's of a fusion of the jazz quartet Lotz of Music with a Cuban drum & vocal ensemble. Recorded 1996 at the ICAIC Studio Havana, Cuba. CD's feature: Mark Alban Lotz (flutes), Stefan Kruger & Liber Torrientes (drums), Jos Machtel & Eric Surmenian (bass, tuba), Maarten Ornstein (sax, clarinet), Stefan Schmid & Marc van Roon (piano), Andre Pet (trombone) Sjahin During, Javier Campos Martinez, Miguel Anga Diaz, Jose Pilar Suarez, Jorge Menocal Nunez, Jos de Haas, Arturo 'Hueso' Linares (percussion, vocals), Alexis Zayas Rosabal, Lilian Viera, Jazmin Saavedra, Amelia Pedroso, Frenla, Estrella Acosta, Liesbeth Anker, Ariel Bridon Romero, Jorge Martinez, Xiomarra Larringa (vocals, some of them located in the control room).
