DESCRIPTION:
GREEN ALEMBIC is an eight piece chamber group consisting of musicians who perform to projected images and spoken word rather than a notated score. The instrumentalists are: Doug Carroll cello, Michael Cooke bassoon & sheng (Chinese free reed instrument) , Ron Heglin trombone & voice, Jeff Hobbs violin, alto clarinet & cornet, Jason Hoopes contra bass , Joe Lasqo piano, Jim Ryan flute, amplified kalimba, spoken word, & original graphic art, & Cristina Stanley violin. This twelve minute forty second clip is taken from a concert performed at the Berkeley Arts Festival venue on May 17th, 2014.
