THE WONDERFUL URBAN PIONEERS RETURNED TO THE WORLD FAMOUS SHORE ROAD TAVERN FRIDAY AUGUST 8TH 2014 AND KILLED IT.
Liz Sloan and Jared McGovern started the Urban Pioneers in the beginning of 2014 and played their first gig at The Shore Road Tavern as a 2 piece. It was an excellent show and a great introduction to their new project. Since then they have returned to philly a few times and played amazing shows all over the world. Now that the Broken Band is capoot, these guys picked up Guido Greaserag to thump on the Upright and are touring with a viciousness straight out of the bible. I feel honored to have watched them grow since the beginning and can't wait to see what they are gonna do. They are great friends of mine; insanely talented and driven musicians, and all around good people.
