Janet Hattabaugh, 23 year old country/folk/bluegrass singer/songwriter, may be a newcomer, but she is a seasoned performer. She grew up just outside of the small, country town of Pekin, IN, and was raised in a family of musicians. She picked up her first guitar at the age of 13, started performing with her father, a thumb picking guitarist, at the age of 15, and discovered her love for songwriting at the age of 17. Now, she and her band have performed throughout Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, North Carolina, and New York, including the Eureka Springs Bluegrass Festival, Puckett's Restaurant in Leipers Fork and Franklin, Tennessee, and the Farmhouse Restaurant at Fontanel in Nashville.

Janet began working with Cliff Downs and Glenn Sweitzer in 2008, developing her songwriting. Two of her songs, "Everyday Magic" and "Joker and the Fool," are featured in the motion picture Red Dirt Rising, and are included in the movie soundtrack. She also completed her first music video, "Everyday Magic," produced by Glenn Sweitzer, Fresh Film + Design. More recently Janet co-wrote "My Heart is a River" with Walt Aldridge, the winner of NSAI Song of the Year and writer of "Modern Day Bonnie and Clyde" sung by Travis Tritt.
Not surprising, Janet is continuing to grow in popularity. She and the band have headlined at the original Puckett's Grocery in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee. In addition, Janet was honored when Bill Cody, a 2008 inductee to the Country Music Disc Jockey Hall of Fame, asked her to perform on WSM-650 "Coffee, Country & Cody." Also, Janet has been endorsed by Cooperstand, the winner of the "Best in Show" Award, Summer NAMM 2010, and by Tanglewood Guitars and is featured on their websites as an up-and-coming singer/songwriter.
"Since moving to Nashville, I've met some terrific people and made some wonderful friends," Janet said. "But one of my favorite experiences was performing in my hometown at a benefit concert for Rick Graves. Bill Cody was there and told the people of my hometown, on the stage that I grew up on, 'Now that I've heard you sing, the whole world is going to hear you sing!' That's when he invited me to be on his show on WSM! It was a night I will never forget! "

"Janet has one of the purest vocals in the business today. She will be a force to be reckon with in the Country Music World."
"She is a must see in her live performances!"
"Join her fan base today!"
