DESCRIPTION:
Radio Transmission Orchestra (RTO) is a completely mobile, multi-channel sound installation that combines pirate radio-broadcast, urban guerrilla art, free speech and public performance.
RTO is a made up of 5 low powered, short range FM transmitters and 20 battery powered FM alarm clock radios. Fourteen artists have developed works for RTO and since the Spring of 2006, RTO has participated in three international festivals of art and music, travelled to five countries with over a dozen installations in both public and private spaces.
