Jaime Y Los Chamacos popularity can be directly attributed to 15 years of combined talent and outstanding ability to appeal to audiences of all ages.
Creative choreography such as gravity defying spins while simultaneously playing the accordion and singing is the role trademark of Jaime De Anda. Event goers and ticket holders often remain in front of the stage for an entire evening to experience the talent and magnetism of these young performers.
In the year 2000, Jaime Y Los Chamacos drew audiences to indoor and outdoor performances with attendance ranging from 1,000 to 10,000! Appearances have included night clubs such as T -Town 2000 in Houston with over 2,500, Graham’s Central Station (San Antonio and Pharr TX) and out door performances like the Rodeo de Zua Zua in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, with an attendance of 10,000 and Party On The Plaza (Houston, TX) just to name a few. Having appeared in various cities across the United States and Mexico, Jaime Y Los Chamacos are no longer considered a Texas band.
Televised appearances have included over 30 appearances on The Johnny Canales Show, local Telemundo and Univision programming, public service announcements, endorsements, and product spokesperson and commercials. Other televised appearances include two performances for President Bill Clinton and one of first lady, HilIary Rodham Clinton in Brownsville, Texas.
CD sales range in status from gold to platinum and include reaching to number 1 in both the Tejano and Latin Billboard in and 14 on the Billboard's Hot Latin Charts. Awards have included 5 Grammy nominations, One Latin Grammy nomination, TTMA Show Band of the Year, male entertainer of the year and Conjunto Of The Year in the Valley’s Choice Awards to name a few .
