Mark Nicol is a long established and very well known London-bred luthier/tech who is now based in Melbourne, Australia. Mark's clients include Gucci (yep!), Madonna, The Edge, Elton John ... to name a few. Mark has recently launched his own brand: Jailbird Guitars.

Jailbird Guitars are designed by Mark, built in the USA and then finished and distributed by Mark from Melbourne. Each is a top-shelf work of art and all feature only top-shelf components.

The Prison Break TV Jones is a groovy mixture of classic LP, Gretsch and long-scale guitars, matched up with a chunky but comfortable maple neck, 12" rosewood fingerboard, hard-tail bridge and classic TV Jones pickups. Gotoh machines and impeccable finishing work round out the picture. To play it is to love it.

Mark currently has around 4 models on offer, all with interchangeable components. He encourages custom orders but there are also some ready-to-gos on his site which I encourage you to check out.

This video also features the mighty Laney VH-100R and L412 cabinet. All sounds, clean to dirty, are generated just from the amp and cabinet.
