"Jouk Ki Lè" by Scorpio D'Haiti; Album "Tann Pou Tann" (1988) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jan 03, 2010
DESCRIPTION:
VICTOR BIDEAU aka Viky was lead singer and also the writer of the lyrics to this song. The song was a message to the Haitian people back in 1988 when Haiti was under the rule of the Military General Henry Namphy. Viky message was for the Haitian people to learn whom to clap for, and for what message. The people need to stop clapping to anything, or for people they don't even know trying to sell them a dream of a prosporous Haiti. Throughout Haitis history, the Haitian people were forced to clap to anything by the ruling political dictators. The lyric was so controversial under the dictatorship of the Military, that the Haitian Army dared Scorpio D'Haiti to play the song live.
