Nick Boots

Nick States AKA Nick Boots has been writing music since the age of 12. Reigning from Delaware he started a group with long time friend Jay City called De La Warr. By the time he hit high school the studio was his outlet to express the stress of everyday life. He began recording, freestyling, and battling more and more often. He won 22 consecutive nights on local Hip Hop station 101.7 KISS FM battling other rappers from around the tristate area. Then he took it one step further and auditioned for BET's 106 and Park and made it on the show after 8 tedious rounds of eliminations. After being a contestant on Freestyle Friday Nick Boots also battled in front of Ludacris, D-12, and many other major artists. Feeling that the battle scene only limited his potential, Nick pursued the mixtape route and put out 3 mixtapes in a 3 year period, including the "I Hate The Radio" series. He also taught himself to use Pro Tools and record his own material. He also opened up for such artists as Freeway, Peedi Crakk, and Gillie Da Kidd. Now having over 50 shows under his belt, Nick Boots is here to show the true meaning of GRIND. He is a battle rapper, song writer, engineer, recording artist, performer, and businessman.
