We started playing music at the age of 15 years, most of the members were related, we played locally in and around Birmingham, places like Claremont Road in Sparkbrook, the name of the sound at that time was Hytal.
We then joined forces with another sound called crystal who lived in the same area as ourselves, the new name was now Hytal Crystal sound system.
We played at a lot of the midnight dances at THe Locarno night club in Birmingham City centre, and played abroad in places like Germany, France, and Belgium, those days it was more Soul, Calypso and reggae.
But the music we started playing as Hytal was Roots which for some reason had vanished.
some of the members went on to be radio DJ and moved away from the sound to further their career what they are doing now only Jah knows.
We went into the bashment, R&B, Hip hop, and Soul music, infact we played everything there was to play, but i did miss my Roots music no one seemed to play it any more.
One day I came across an old friend called Errol (king Earthquake Sound system) who took me and some of my cousins to a Roots bash in London
what I heard was music to my ears, my cousin had a sound too so we decided to re - invent the sound by joining forces and calling it Hytal after my sound and Bosrah after his sound (HYTAL BOSRAH) playing roots music.
A lot of money was spent and we now have a large sound system, we also produce our own music out of our own studio,
