Isabella brought Peter Kam the honor of being the first Chinese to receive a Silver Berlin Bear trophy at the most recent Berlin International Film Festival. The movie starring Isabella Leong and Chapman To, led to the composer's third collaboration with director Edmond Pang. As for the music score, Kam worked out a sound that finds its roots in Macao's local Portuguese music style called Fado.Filled with a nostalgic and solitary sentiment, Isabella's soundtrack features overall 38 tracks including the film's theme song O Gente da Minha Terra as well as the inserted song Dream Partner (Track 38) with lead vocals by Anita Mui.
