Happy Birthday swung into town a little while back to play an awesome show with Dum Dum Girls and Frankie Rose & The Outs. Since we were pretty huge fans of Kyle's former band King Tuff we couldn't wait to check out the new group and honestly they blew us away. Happy Birthday spouted some sick, twisted power pop that promptly got stuck in our heads for days.

We had to scrounge up a Frankenstein drum kit for the session but being the consummate pro she is, Ruth was able to reform their insistent beat using only a floor tom, snare and cymbal. The result is a totally unique, stripped back approach to these soon to be classic tunes!
