A Sumerian style piece by composer Mark McAnaney. We may know precious little about ancient Sumerian music, but this is as close as it gets to bringing their music back to life (at least from the point of view of a modern composer who has studied the culture a lot). This is a hymn to the goddess Inanna! The text in the video is from a real Mesopotamian text. thanks to whoever wrote that so many millennia ago!
