Lyrics:

I see a face in the water looking right back at me.
I see a pain in his eyes that he longs to be free.
He lives a life of disparity, a life of not having enough,
Living afraid for his family and contemplating the dust.
With chains on his feet and wounds around his hands he asks me how does it feel
To live without fear and a shadow over the land,
He asks how it is to be real, how does it feel?

I see a face in the water looking right back at mine,
I see a pain in her eyes that I cannot decline.
She tells me she’s scared and I tell her “So am I,”
And just as the ground starts sinking, I see her eagle rise.
And as I follow along her somber gaze, she asks me what do you see?
Do you know how it is being constrained all your days,
She asks how it is to be free, what do you see?

What do I feel what do I see? But those who don’t look like me,
What can I do what can I say? But I’m behind you all the way,
What do I feel what do I see? In those who don’t look think like me,
What can I do what can I say? I can do what’s right today,

I see my face in the water, searching for an answer to this hate,
I see a pain in my own eyes that I can barely relate,
The wolf is at the helm and my eagle broke its wings,
But I know I’m not the only one who needs to start healing.
So take my hand and let’s step over the line, let’s face the damage as one.
Stop sitting back and let’s take care of our time.
We don’t know what we can do until it’s done. Love will have won.

What can I feel what can I see? For those who don’t look like me,
What can I do what can I say? But I’m behind you all the way,
What do I feel what do I see? In those who don’t look think like me,
What can I do what can I say? I can do what’s right today.
WE CAN DO WHAT'S RIGHT TODAY.
