Idil Mese is an Istanbul-born singer-songwriter. Her songs meditate on the themes of love and loss, and tell the stories of heart and mind, beauty and truth. She listens to folk music from Ireland, Turkey, USA, Tuva and she is deeply inspired by Joni Mitchell, Leonard Cohen, John Zorn, Bob Dylan and Björk. Idil performed her songs in Ireland, UK, Turkey, USA and Germany. She is currently working with Istanbul-based beatmaker Da Poet on her first EP that is to be released in fall 2016 from Noiseist Records. Idil Mese was featured in Oceanvs Orientalis' album "Inside Voyager" as the singer and the songwriter. This year Idil will produce more songs with Da Poet and other artists. In the words of Bob Dylan, things should start to get interesting right about now.
