Vintage Watch Timer Converted into KILLER Guitar Preamp (Part 1) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Mar 15, 2017
DESCRIPTION:
Ran across this ultra rare, esoteric piece of early 60s kit literally buried under a pile in a corner of an antique store. The owner let me open it up at the counter and inspect it. Still having little idea what it was originally supposed to do, beyond being some specialized tool relating to watch making or clock repair, I bought it anyway. It's a Precise Watch Timer made by Precise Manufacturing Company of Springfield, Illinois. It contains 3 tubes, a 12AX7, a 6AU6, and a 2D21. In this video we will convert it into an overdrive preamp and we might even be able to make it into a tremolo effect as well!
