DESCRIPTION:
Traveling west on I-10 in Orange County, Texas. The right lane, of three, closes immediately before the Purple Heart Bridge that spans the Neches River. Even though there are miles of warning signs proclaiming the impending lane closure, people still slam into the construction barricades on a regular basis..

The inconsiderate and the obtuse, ride that lane to the bitter end, and then shove themselves into the other lanes of traffic. This driver, in the video, either did not see the end of the road until the end of the road... or more likely... never noticed at all. Simply driving blithely along and assuming the lanes go wherever their own tires should wander.

The over-sized load looked ungainly and top heavy. The driver had no choice but to slam on the brakes. I stayed behind and tried to flash him into my lane so we both went from 70+ to 50+ very quickly. That's my speed, I Assume the truck lost a lot more momentum... right at the bottom of a climb. When it became obvious he would not take my lane I accelerated only to see the driver of the van, apparently nonplussed, and transfixed by the road.

Posted not as an admonishment but rather as a warning to other drivers.
