DESCRIPTION:
We are pleased to announce the release details of the fifth and final installment of 'The Abyss Stares Back' series.

The unique collaboration between Scott Kelly (Neurosis), Mathieu Vandekerckhove (Syndrome/Amenra) and CHVE - Colin H Van Eeckhout (Amenra/CHVE) is a twenty minute opus entitled 'Absent In Body'.

The record will be limited to 500 vinyl copies, and will be released via Hypertension on January 20, 2017.

Recorded throughout 2015 and 2016, across various locations, divided by continents, oceans, and time zones, Absent In Body is a complex creation exploring both absence and presence. From dream-like repetitions through to a nightmarish soundtrack of oblivion, Kelly, Vandekerckhove, and Van Eeckhout take listeners on a dark journey in body and mind.

These are all just shards of thoughts, of dreams both good and bad, of consciousness both present and absent. They are all that is possible with these twenty minutes, with these three men. This gathering of present souls, this collective expulsion under the shadowy light of presence and absence, this remaining piece that will last after the absence is complete, all of it, is called Absent In Body.
