DESCRIPTION:
"The Last Train" is a dark ambient, electronic soundscape composition from the Homeless Balloon EP "The Future of the Past" (2016). The EP is the fourth release in the special chillout series of digital EP's that my music project Homeless Balloon began releasing in 2012, and twelve more EP's have been released later to complete the series. The album covers have all been created by graphics artist Øystein Sjølie.

I originally composed the first draft of "The Last Train" for a television documentary about the transportation of Norwegian Jews to German camps during the Second World War. The music is dark, like an evil shadow, just as the idea behind Nazism and any totalitarianism (political or religious) is evil and against all human values.
