Memphis,TN based rock band-Holdfast was formed by vocalist/guitarist Monty Weston and bass guitarist Robert Gwartney in the Summer of 1998. Shortly after brother, friend, teacher Brian Luttrell was added to the band with his solid straight up hit you in the face guitar skills. Since then they have been through several drummers, just trying to find the right piece of the puzzle, till the Fall of 2006 when they added long time friend Jason Robertson, AKA "Bird" to the band. This combined foursome has created another sound of "original rock". A sound of their own; with flowing melodies and heavy, but not too heavy melodic riff's.



By the Fall of 2005, Holdfast recorded their first rough demo, with friend/songwriter Frankie Glenn of Inner61. With his help recording and co-producing they were sure to come with good sounding tunes. Well that was only the start to what was in store for the future.



Now with new drummer Bird in the mix, the band started writing new material. By the end of Summer 2007, Holdfast hit the studio again to lay down some new tracks and co-produce with frontman Monty Weston for their upcoming CD. Holdfast is hoping to finish it sometime next year 2008. A five song E.P. has been released from the untitled CD for your listen pleasures, so CHECK IT OUT!
