"Almost Here" Alma Hitchcock's final aria from "Hitch's Missus." - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 16, 2012
DESCRIPTION:
More technical difficulties with the recording during the first staged reading of "Hitch's Missus." But Catherine Thomson knocks it out of Heaven nonetheless.
In this, Alma Hitchcock's final solo, Alma realizes she can't continue waiting for something to happen to her or worry about the future or regret the past. It's all about...now. Even in the eternal now.

Just like all the songs in this musical, "Almost Here" uses themes from the great film composer Bernard Herrmann. It starts with a little "Vertigo" and also uses the opening from "North by Northwest."
