It started out as a dream.about 9 years old at the time, I would sit in front of the TV watching "Yo, MTV Raps", Rap City" and "Video Music Box". I don't know what it was but at that point I knew I wanted to rap. I was really into The Wu-Tang Clan, A Tribe Called Quest, Slick Rick, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg and Nas to name a few. In the years to come I picked up on The Notorious B.I.G, Jay-Z and Outkast; that was the early-mid 90's. A period some call "The Golden Era" of Hip-Hop; a term I highly agree with because it hasn't been the same since. But something about the music always kept me interested, something always kept that dream I had alive.

It wasn't until 2002 that I decided to really take my talent seriously and pursue my dream, but I didn't go at it alone. Along with some childhood friends we formed Pocket Change Entertainment. We released our first compilation mixtape entitled "The Introduction" in 2004, which was followed up with the release of "The Hate Already Started" in 2005. The experience was priceless; we learned so much about ourselves recording those projects in a studio we built from nothing. I think it helped shape my sound in the end.

So what is my sound?? Well, in a word, conceptual. But if I had to explain in detail, I would say I make music that's honest, experimental and most importantly entertaining. I love doing records that follow no format and concepts that haven't been done before. I take pride in being The First to do something; you kinda feel like anyone who does it after, is doing it because they where inspired by you. I would consider myself a trendsetter or a tastemaker; that's what I'm about when it comes to my music and everyday life. It’s that constant quest to remain original that makes me who I am.

And that was evident with my first solo effort in 2006, "Change tha Game Back". At the time there were absolutely no mixtape’s that covered all the classics, like there are so many today. I wanted to pay homage to that "Golden Era" I grew up on and show the people I can rap really well. The project was embraced by all that heard it and said to be a classic by many, but I'll leave that for you to decide. In 2007 I released my second solo effort "Second To None". On "Second To None", I wanted to show that I could rock just as well on new production as I did on the classics. I also wanted to showcase my song writing ability. I think the cd established that; it had many nice concepts and a fresh approach from its predecessor.

Then 2008 hit me and I thought "why can't I get my music into the hands of the right people?". I decided to rethink my approach and didn't release music for a year. When I came back I wanted to make sure I set myself apart from other new artists; so I watched from the sideline and created my own lane. I think the time away helped me to create a great plan and develop music to support that plan. I’ve also took It up a notch lyrically.

Now, I'm ready to share my music with the world and accomplish the dream I've had since I was 9. I invite everyone to follow me on this journey to success.

Who’s with me??
