DESCRIPTION:
This was a record that my Dad, Kenneth McLaughlin Sr. played lead guitar on. I don't remember what year this song was released, but it went to no. 42 on billboard's country charts. The song was written by Tom T. Hall's brother, Hilman Hall, and Hilman played bass on this recording as well. The artist singing it was Jim Kelly, a school teacher from Ohio. Tom T. covered it and released it on one of his albums in 1972, but the song was never released as a single. Hilman also wrote Pass Me By which he sold the rights to to Johnny Rodriguez in the early 1970's and Johnny had a hit with it as well as Mel Street.Hilman passed away in the early 1990's.
