DESCRIPTION:
The Canadian Music Café is an exclusive showcasing opportunity for Canadian musical talent to perform for local and international music supervisors and industry professionals during the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).

This unique and intimate event puts the focus on placements of songs into feature films, TV shows, documentaries and any filmed media.

The 2015 edition of the Café took place on September 14 & 15 at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. A dozen key supervisors from the U.S. and UK were in attendance.

The lineup of Canadian artists included:

Each performed a 25-minute set and had the opportunity to network with the music supervisors and other industry professionals in attendance.

Several extraordinary artists have performed at the Café over the years culminating in placements for many of them. Café alumni include: City and Colour, Martha Wainwright, Royal Wood, Jill Barber, Lindi Ortega, Jets Overhead, Saukrates, Arkells, Amy Millan, and Dear Rouge.

The Canadian Music Café is supported by the Canadian Music Publishers Association (CMPA), Canadian Independent Music Association (CIMA), SOCAN, Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) and the federal government of Canada.
