DESCRIPTION: David Wiffen was born in England and migrated to Canada in his teens after fronting a skiffle band back home. He loved the blues and folk music and soon made a name for himself on the early 60s circuit, releasing his first album in 1965, 'Live at the Bunkhouse'. In the late 60s he was a member of bands: The Children and 3's A Crowd, folk-rock groups working out of Ottawa, Ontario.
'Driving Wheel' is from his second, self-titled album released in 1971. It is David's most covered and best-known song.
