Ho Hum Records are delighted to announce their latest Digital Singles
Club release with an acoustic beauty from singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Kirill Nikolai, who has also recorded and performed under the name ‘Still Light’.

It was originally on Myspace when we heard and loved Still Light, and after a few emails Kirill was working on The Willow LP “In The Meanwhile” adding Moog,
vocals and percussion on tracks “A While Ago Pt 1 & Pt 2 & Some Sad Eyes”.

As soon as we set up the digital singles club, we requested that Kirill would consider releasing through it and we were bowled over when we received these
two beautiful pieces of music.

The result is “Alms for St. Clare”, produced specifically with the Ho Hum digital singles club in mind. It presents the consummation of an entire break up album’s
worth of emotional indulgence, concentrated and wrangled into this brief contemporary format.

Kirill Nikolai is originally from Kyiv, Ukraine, now living in Seattle, Washington USA. He has recorded and produced music for Tonefloat (NL), Helmet Room
Recordings (US), Reverb Worship (UK), and Apollolaan Recordings (UK).

“Alms for St. Clare” was recorded in Aurora, Colorado and Seattle, Washington during winter of 2014-15, with international peace mogul St. William James.
String arrangements by Kirill Nikolai performed by the Lipan String Quartet (playing as a trio on this recording, without Rebecca Davis, and with the
addition of Marcus Tevershall on clarinet).
