DESCRIPTION:
Using my B.C. Rich Wartribe guitar and Line 6 amplifier (built-in Insane distortion mode), I compare the sound of Dunlop Heavy Core (Heavier) and Ernie Ball Beefy Slinky strings. I use the bridge pickup - EMG 81. The guitar is tuned down 1 1/2 step.

IMPORTANT: Because of their high output, EMGs create a dirtier sound and excessive oscillation with certain string brands. Dunlop and Ernie Ball, on the other hand, work amazingly well either with active or passive pickups. The third chapter of my EMG vs. Seymour Duncan video discusses the issue in detail.
