DESCRIPTION:
This footage was shot at the last show HeadCrash played, in December of 2005. Rog (guitarist for Spermbirds) was organizing a Spermbirds "20th Anniversary" show at the Kammgarn in K-Town and asked us if we'd play. My wife and I flew to Germany, we got the band together and practiced for 2 days with a new drummer (Andy Klein) and then played, it was our first and only show in like 2 years. 12.29.2005-- What a blast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This footage was shot with 5 cameras and compiled by an editing crew (there is also another version of this same exact song/show on YouTube, shot with a cellphone). This particular clip is from Asphalt Ostrich, an track from the Lifeboat record we did for Sony. It's one of the few older songs that we still do... after 5 years of dropping bombs on stage with Al, I found it really challenging to try and do any of the older songs without him. Many of them are either straight up not possible with just 1 vocalist or just too weak with 1 vocalist. This one song we ended up still doing, with some adjustments. Anyhow... this clip features a few familiar faces and stagedives by assorted people including the guitarist for Sordid Witch and my wife. Spermbirds went on after us and blew the doors off the place. 1200+ people, and their show (in its entirety) ended up as the second disc of their 20th Anniversary DVD release "Me and My People." There are clips of many, many old school punk rockers on this DVD including me, Matzi, Hardi, ect.—singing our asses off and stagediving like there was no tomorrow. Again, this was a helluva night--- will load 2 more HeadCrash clips from this party...
