LOVELY HULA HANDS - HAWAIIAN STEEL GUITAR - Video
PUBLISHED:  Oct 06, 2011
DESCRIPTION:
An island favorite, "Lovely Hula Hands." The hula is a proper custom and dance in Hawaii if done modestly with long skirts and modest swaying. The immodest women who dance sensually and nearly naked disgrace Hawaii and that's not what Hawaii is truly about. Like anything else, there's a right way and a wrong way it can be used. Even the Bible can be used in a wrong way.

I'm playing a Jerry Byrd Frypan longscale lap steel, through a Roland MicroCube amp, C6th tuning.

There's an island family behind me down by the sand and sea. They caught a bunch of fish and are scraping the scales off of the fish, which you can hear in my video. I gave the father a Gospel of John. He smiled and all his front teeth were rotted. My heart goes out to the island people. They were eating coconuts and happy to be cleaning the fish they caught, humble people. You can see the dad climb up the tree behind me in my video titled, "Beyond The Reef - Hawaiian Steel Guitar."
