– It is the 31st of October. People all over town are preparing for All Hallows Eve by dressing up in spooky costumes and decorating their houses so that they look like they're haunted. And I'm preparing by playing some spooky records for you!

This is a reissue my grandfather bought in the mid-1970's at Walt Disney World in Florida. He made a movie of the Haunted Mansion attraction (which is, IMO, one of the BEST Walt Disney World attractions of all time), and he wanted a spooky soundtrack for his movie, so he purchased this record in Disney's gift shop and later, once the film came back processed from Kodak, he overdubbed the audio content from it onto the audio portion of the film reel in his homebrewed editing station. Years later, my mom used this record for Halloween parties to help create a scary mood. I think Disneyland Records originally intended this for parties, because on the inner sleeve, it gives various party ideas and games for Halloween. Enjoy, and have a happy Halloween tonight!
