2008



- Harlem the Artist was featured in the April issue of the nationally distributed Rap Fanatic Magazine as one of the hottest unsigned artists.



Harlem did studio work and wrote with Jim Jones, Bad Boy writer Lo (EMI publishing), Outkast’s producer DJ (EMI) and a number of other writers and producers under EMI Publishing.



2007



- Harlem worked in the studio with Chris Brown on “The Other Man” (written and produced by Harlem the Artist) and then was offered a deal by The Tina Davis Co. (Chris Brown’s management) to be a writer and producer.



June 6th - Harlem won BET’s 106 & Park Wild Out Wednesday competition, performing two songs from his single release “Slow Dance”.



July - Harlem the Artist was the opening act for singer/songwriter/producer Tank, as well as R&B sensation Joe at The Paradise Theatre in the Bronx, New York.



August 29th - Harlem was invited back to performed on BET’s 106 & Park.



November 16th - Harlem performed alongside Jagged Edge, Donell Jones, Bad Boy artist Cheri Dennis & Remy Ma at the Westbury Music Theatre for the Platinum R&B Concert. The concert was promoted by Hot 97 & Ticketmaster.



August - Harlem was nominated and won "Best Male R&B of 2007" at the 5th annual underground music awards along with performing at the ceremony. The award show was held at the renowned BB Kings Restaurant in New York.



2006

- Harlem released his second underground solo album "Situations", which shares the sound of R&B mixed with Hip Hop and urban influences. The album was released with the 1st single "Come Over Here". TAXI- The World's Leading Independent A&R Company (Review of Harlem's New Single "Come Over Here") TAXI WROTE: “GREAT JOB on the VOCAL performance and arrangements. The beat/drums have a good energy and feel. The bass gives it good movement also. LYRICALLY, the feelings are conveyed well and the vocals carry the feeling. The Spanish parts are a nice touch, particularly in the hook. It communicates emotion to the listener. NICELY DONE!!!



The album "Situations" was named Best Selling Album™ at MP3Extension.com



2005

- Harlem the Artist produced and featured in his compilation CD titled MLife Productions Presents "The Life". The CD featured himself, rap duo "Team Envy" and "Ticky Diamondz" who was previously signed to Def Jam Records.



2004

- November - Harlem was the 1st artist featured in VIBE magazine’s Unsigned Artist Series and named the Hottest Underground Artist. Within the same month Harlem independently released his first underground solo CD “I’m a singer”, under his production company MLife Productions.



2003

- Harlem was offered a production deal during a face to face meeting with label executive Lyor Cohen, who at the time was the CEO of Island Def Jam Music Group and a deal from Don Muhammad who was an executive at Motown Records. Later on that year Harlem was also offered a production situation from Warner Brothers with a group.



Harlem was one of a select few who paid tribute and honored the legacy of Freddie Jackson at the Prestige Awards in Poughkeepsie, New York.
