TEAM ENVY BIO



It was at the age of 15 & 16, that both Fame and Mavrik became partners soon after meeting in High School. They then continued a music/business and most importantly a brother like relationship from then on. Christopher 'F.a.m.e' Gardner and Blake'Mavrik' Engles have been flooding the streets with there own sound for almost on 8 years now. Both being born and raised in Harlem, New York City it was easy for the two to apply the experiences they have been through to their craft (HipHop). It was immediately demonstrated through their mature and seasoned sound that they were among the elites and like no other rap duo ever to touch a mic. The sound that Team Envy provides for industry level and underground level people is phenomenal. Their versatility and style along with their sound exemplifies what entertainment is about. This is a sound that was embraced in the summer of 2003 when the rap duo was part of a compilation album distributed by Mlife productions that sold 2500 units independently. Team Envy then went on to perform at numerous venues all over the city perfecting their showmanship ability and stage presence. It was on their journey of performances and using their musical gift for recording, that led the duo to create songs such as their smash single featuring Harlem the artist ’’The Glow’’, ’’LISTEN UP’’ ,’’1,2,3’’ and the list goes on. . . Team Envy’s music clearly shows that they are a unique group that gives you the feeling that they are indeed of Great Iconic Talent and are within steps to become Hall Of Fame worthy lyricists. Through the duration of their careers Mavrik and Fame also got the chance to exhibit their versatility when they were called upon to write along side of Harlem the artist for R&B submission projects, such as that of Chris Brown, Ciara, Tyrese, Young steph, Def Jams up and coming artist Elite, and many more. It was in the year of 2006 that Team Envy then independently dropped their mix tape Humble Beginnings which went on to sell close to 3000 copies. 'Its safe to say that Team Envy has what it takes to be in the music industry', a direct quote that both rappers stated when asked if the were working on any projects of their own. Presently, Team Envy is diligently working on their upcoming album which is scheduled to debut in early July 2008.



How is it that they are 2 of the cities most clever and focused individuals with a foundation rooting with MLife Productions, yet they remain unsigned ! ! ! !
