Like the Horn of Gondor (Made from Ox Horn) the Battle Horns of the Dwarves were made from the Ram's Horn. The dwarves use giant ram’s horns to sound the battle call. When these ram’s horns (known as Shofar today) are sounded, orcs (demons) will very often shudder with fear if not flee altogether. Sadly the use of ram’s battle horns has fallen out of fashion these days, and the spirit of the orc is allowed to roam too far, and too free. Perhaps we will hear them again in the battles to come?
