DESCRIPTION:
The duo of Greta Buitkutė (Odie ji Ghast) and Stuart Calton (THF Drenching) have of late become something like cult figures in the North East’s ‘no audience underground’, erm, audience. Both are evangelical improvisors of the ilk that everything is an instrument and both have collaborated with several of the region’s fellow instant composers including Posset, Sean Cotterill and Gwilly Edmondez. Stuart was also in Derek Bailey’s final band line-up, Limescale and adds dictaphone and other items to the mix along with Greta’s ear-grabbing voice and her playing of, on their Contribution To A Discussion On Tic release, floorboards.
