As a dj, gruyeredj (Roger Calvet) is a resident of Barcelona's prestigious Nuggets night club. And, a part of his usual gigs over Spain, he's been spreading love with his sets (full of funk, soul, latin, hammond and rare groove) around different countries in Europe, like UK, France, Belgium, Belarus, German, Luxembourg and other. Those sets are mainly salted with soul and happiness.
May 2007 is the date of New Cheese Records first release. Roger's label comes to stay, will drop new covers in 45s vinyl of old rare and wicked songs, a la retro recorded by nowadays bands, bringing the best in up soul, deep funk and rare groove.Its first release is perfectly signed by the band Tokyo Sex Destruction, bringing a nice up powersoul with lots of energy.
