DESCRIPTION:
"Every Second Counts" from 1991 album "Auberge"
Auberge (a French word meaning "inn") is the eleventh studio album by Chris Rea, released in 1991. The album, as well as the title song, was mostly notable for the association of the Caterham Super Seven that he owned, in which he called it the "Blue Seven".
That car appeared on the album cover, illustrated in oil by renowned motoring artist Alan Fearnley.
Auberge was a #1 album in the UK in 1991. The title track also gave Rea one of his biggest chart hits, reaching #16 in the UK charts.

Lyrics:
Every second counts
That's what he says
Every second counts
Every single day
All through the night time
And all through the day time
Can't let your world pass through
and into my way
Every second counts
He can't slow down
Every second counts
See him spin around
He's chasing his shadow
He's racing the wind
He tells us to follow
Where the ice is so thin
I hope you're holding on
I hope you're holding on
'Cos every second counts.
