A potted history of Greg Morton;
Born in Scotland and brought up in Aberdeen.
Learned cello at the RAM Junior Department, headhunted by the Purcell School (London, UK) and entrance scholar to the RNCM (Manchester, UK).
Pro work with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, English National Orchestra, Performing Arts Symphony Orchestra and various other session orchestras and chamber groups.
Occasional soloist, most recently the Dvorak concerto with the Essex Youth Orchestra Association.
Brief spell with the Revillos (as Hymo) gigging in Dublin and London, Mark Lamaar Radio 1 session (Hymo is back in the freezer now.).
Sang at the Rugby League World Cup semi-finals, Reebok and McAlpine stadiums/BBC1's Grandstand, singing solo on the pitch before the England game, (they lost, nothing to do with me.)
Performed "Something More", (original song) with his band "DIESEL" at the Manchester Evening News Arena for Manchester's Key 103 radio station.
The first £5000 winner of the M.E.N. 'Search for a Star', held at the Willows in Salford and performed at Manchester's Bridgewater Hall.
Musical Director for the Howard Keel Golf Classic, hosted by Don Felder (Eagles). Guest acts include Tony Christie, Rick Wakeman, John Miles, Richard Fleeshman, Hollywood actor Bruce Greenwood, John H Stracey. MD for Don Felder at the Dunhill Links Championship, playing alongside Bon Jovi's Tico Torres.
Opening act for two of Bon Jovi's 2006 UK tour dates at the Milton Keynes National Bowl in front of over 120,000 people.
MD for Sue Jenkins 'Gala Night of Stars' show at the Tameside Hippodrome.
Vocal coach and arranger for Reconnected, Connected, Be Minor and numerous other upcoming acts.
Studio work with X Factor finalists, BGT semifinalists, Stars in their eyes winners, soapstars, models (including Miss UK 2001 and Michelle Marsh), Popidol contestants, and Nick Newbould (sorry Nick, couldn't resist it.!)

Greg continues to write and produce songs, both as an artist in his own right as well as for other artists, whilst continuing to perform regularly around the Manchester area, the rest of the UK and abroad.
