"Jon Roniger's music is full of heart and smarts." – A&R Select
"Roniger's third album is very much in the American singer-songwriter tradition, with nods to the likes of Paul Simon, Tom Petty and John Mellencamp along the way. It was recorded in Nashville with a host of session musicians that have worked with the likes of Dylan, Tori Amos, Garth Brooks and many others. The resulting music is very much Americana, with the roots element really to the fore. And it is well done too, with Roniger being a skillful songwriter, who is able to write with both passion and finesse".
RS – Classic Rock Society June/July Issue

"This isn't one of your carefully formatted recordings, lacking in imagination. Roniger follows his muse like a hobo jumping a moving freight riding the curves, inclines and downward slopes. So full of adventure, Roniger is true Americana. Scripting smart lines, he tracks his fantasies and descriptive tales that grip the listener from the off"
MH – Maverick Magazine (UK)
"One look at the guests on this release from San Francisco based roots rocker Jon Roniger and you realize that what you have is quality through and through. Robert Reynolds, Al Perkins, Paul Deakin and Thad Cockrell all help to project the 13 original songs that make up this superb release. Opening track "The Way I Feel" is a sizzler, setting the tone for the rest of the album. A songs about life's injustices could have been morose, but mix a killer guitar riff and Jon's whiskey soaked vocal and what we get is an upbeat telling of the fact that there is light at the end of the tunnel, to give mankind hope.
Jon's songs mirror the way we live our lives, the ups and the downs, "Only Human" being the perfect example, the song telling that we all make mistakes, at some stage, but at least we tried. Standout track for me is the wonderful "Lips Like Candy", a bar room rocker with a great sax break mid way through. Try stopping your feet tapping to this track if you dare, the song containing the wonderful line "she was a devil hiding in angel's clothes".
Put simply, an excellent album from a superb songwriter."
