Grave Robbers – Hell To Pay (Ground’n’Pound Records)

Even I'm not a big Metal-fan I acquire a taste for the Horrorcore of the Texan Grave Robbers. 'VENOM meets METAL CHURCH' hits the mark I think. The music rather reminds on Americans whereas the vocals remind on the English. Falvored with a shot of Hardcore they created a musical mix that knows how to please. Songs like FULCI LIVES! are self-explanatory, and also live the band seems to present their Horror-anthems pretty well!

" Grave Robbers, Hell to Pay, ( ground N Pound Records, 26min)

I remember in junior high when my friends made me copies of records from bands like Rigor Mortis and Gorguts. And even though Grave Robbers sound completely diffrent musically, that same sense of dirtiness washed over me when reading the lyrics. That sense that if I got caught listening to this record, I was definitely going to be in some trouble! These guys put years of horror film knowledge to work turning out some of the best 'horror' core I have ever heard. With a sound that reminds me of Ascension or very, very early Shadows Fall and vocals that sound at moments like Seattle hardcore from Outspoken or Trial, the band sounds great. Lyrically you should expect to here the inner vioce of that zombie, demon, or vampire in us all. Songs about zombie plegues, sexually animated corpses, demonic visitations, and vampire urges cannot fail but to satisfy and Halloween party dj. Pick it up or there will be hell to pay!".
