Full Contact

Full Contact came to light in 1998 as the first hardcore band in Laredo Texas. The idea to start the band was brought forth by Boogie(vocals) and Reno(guitars) who had been fans of Metal music for many years. Soon Danny T.(bass), Martin (drums) agreed to join Full Contact.

In July of 2000 their first D.I.Y demo was recorded at Boogies house and was distributed locally as well as throughout several Texas cities. Then, Martin (drums) decided to depart the band and pursue other musical ventures. Soon after that Danny T.(bass) decided to leave the band and move out of town to pursue his studies.



In 2001 Full Contact reformed for a few shows with drummer Adam Hourigan. In the summer of 2004 Danny aka "Danny Chains" joined Full Contact, and the 4 began writing new material with more of a metal sounding hardcore. With a new found sense of enthusiasm, Full Contact recorded a demo in 2004 and began playing shows once again. At that time Adam let the guys know that he was moving to out of town to pursue his studies. Tony Vega then joined the band in the beginning of 2005. The band then started playing around Texas frequently at hardcore/punk shows, and metal shows.



In 2006 Full Contact had a 7 day west coast tour, and appeared on the Hardcore Street CD Vol.2 on Stillborn Records which was included in every Icepick cd fronted by Jamey Jasta .



2007, Full Contact released a split cd with Heartbreak Kid, a band from Germany, on a DIY Texas based record label called Ground n Pound Records. Shortly after the split release Full Contact started working on new songs in hopes to go in to the studio and record a Full Length. In February of 2008 Full Contact went in to the studio and recorded 12 tracks for a 2009 release. Shortly after recording the full length, Hector joined the band as a second guitarist. The band then had a 2 week east coast tour. In late 2008 Gabe filled in on drums till he moved out of town. Leo joined in Dec 2008 and the band had another 2 week tour to the east coast in March 2009. In late May 2009, Luis"Wino" (drums) joined Full Contact and are currently working on more touring and searching for a home label for the upcoming full length "Tactics of Intimidation" .
