Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting..

A really rare and cool guitar. It’s an Ibanez 2399 DX L5s Lawsuit guitar with a really cool form fitting Hard Shell Case. What a cool Guitar.

These Ibanez Lawsuit guitars were only made two years in 1974 and 1975.. Been looking at a Gibson L5s for 5K? This really cool guitar can be had for under half that amount and it plays and sounds great! Just got it back from the Techs and they have it singing! Great awesome low action on the new 10 gauge strings. It had flatwound strings when I got it. I think a Jazz guy must have had it. I’ll stay with the regular 10’s thank you!

This guitar is all original. Some many of them are in the Red Sunburst. This one is very rare in the Very RARE Golden Brown Sunburst. A lot have had the plastic insert missing from the incredible Tailpiece. This one has it. See pics 3 and 4... A lot have been modified in the pickups..this one has the original Gold Covered Low Impedence Single Coils and they sound incredible. Very cool sound. Original Gold knobs, Custom Truss Rod Cover, Original Tuners, and gold Harmonica style Bridge. 100% Original. The frets still have lots of life in them and even the Sunburst back cover is still with it. Those are either lost or broken in most cases. See pics 9 and 10.. I love the L5 treatment to the end of the fret board. Just like the Gibsons. No wonder they got sued. These guitars are crazy good!

The guitar has gold hardware which is worn in some areas but over all in good condition for its age. Some of the laminations are starting to decline on the butt end of the guitar. See pics. Happy its only the end. Some wear around the jack and various dings and such. Nothing to note beyond the butt end …really nice condition on this guitar.
