The debut release on Holic Trax from the ever-excellent Mr.G is following up with a killer EP from DJ/Producer Tuccillo that again will be receiving a release on limited 10? coloured vinyl? You couldn?t ask for a much better start than the one Holic Trax made earlier this year. The label?s debut release was provided by electronic music legend Mr.G and became an instant success, receiving support from the likes of Matt Edwards, Luciano, Huxley, Paul Woolford, Luke Solomon etc as well as an uproarious press response. Perhaps not surprising for a label that has sprung out of the highly successful London & Tokyo parties of the same name and it has certainly set the bar high for future releases. Fortunately label boss Tomoki Tamura has drafted in an extremely safe pair of production hands for the second release, those of Ibizan based DJ/ producer Tuccillo. Tuccillo has been a prolific artist over the last four years, releasing an endless stream of outstanding singles through some of the hottest labels around (see. Freerange, Delusions of Grandeur, 20:20 Vision, Defected, Circus Company etc). Now he has brought all his considerable experience to bear, delivering the outstanding ?House 19 EP? for Holic Trax. The Ep kicks off with title track, ?House 19?, a percussive, bass driven, house workout that draws on old school stabs, chopped and filtered vocal parts and a bassline that has you locked in from the off. Next up we have the excellent ?Eves Sky? that sees Tuccillo taking a stripped and spacious approach with a record is deep, dubby and hypnotic. The EP is completed with two further tracks, ?Dubao? is a digital exclusive that journeys into off kilter techy territory whilst ?PercussHolic? is a vinyl only exclusive that takes a percussive tribal tack. The Holic Trax imprint is only two releases strong but already its clear that with label head and A&R Tomoki Tamura at the reins, this is a label to watch..
