DESCRIPTION:
Playing my favorite Smithereen's song, "A Girl Like You" from their third album "11". I used to play in a band called "Fired Up N' Kickin" about the time this song came out back in 89. We were a classic rock band but we played a few current songs off the radio and this happened to be one of them. I lived on the Kansas side (Shawnee) back then and we used to hear this song first on the college radio station in Lawrence, KS (KU) and then all of a sudden it was playing on all the Kansas City stations as well! Many of you may not have heard of this one... but it will stick with you if you listen to it! It is a great song and my buddy Dave (bass) and I had tons of fun playing it! Our favorite part was the breakdown at 2:50! EPIC!!
