MANHATTA (1921) by Charles Sheeler & Paul Strand (Featuring the music of Greyscape) - Video
PUBLISHED:  Jul 26, 2016
DESCRIPTION:
Charles Sheeler and photographer Paul Strand collaborated on MANHATTA. It has been described as the first avant-garde film made in America, while authentically documenting the motion and structure of early Twentieth Century Manhattan.

Years ago, I composed piece of music titled "The Tallest Building In the World" and decided to rework it to fit this film.

Eventually, this video and music are to be used as the backing tracks and visuals in a Greyscape performance piece.

The title cards quotes are from Walt Whitman's "Leaves of Grass".
