DESCRIPTION:
he Phonorama project was created by Gianluca Cucchiara (piano- composer) and Carlo Tedesco(drummer – percussionist – composer), its aim being the exploration of the peculiar sounds of (the) 60's(sixties') and 70's(seventies') Italian soundtracks, in line with the best musicians of those years like as Piero Umiliani, Armando Trovaioli, Ennio Morricone, Riz Ortolani, Piero Piccioni. The explosive repertoire is a well balanced mixture of vintage and contemporary sounds.
Although the performances of the original themes (compositions) stick closely to the great masters' style, still they are enriched by sophisticated interventions.
Bossa Nova,Mambo,Jazz and funky are the major ingredients of all the compositions (themes).
The cd-album Retrology is the first result of the collaboration with Funky Juice Rec.. It is coming out within early summer 2007
This project has been carried out thanks to the contribution of very fine artists as Fabrizio Bosso(trumpet), Chiara Noschese (vocalist),Tom Sinatra(guitar) and many more good and well known musicians. The passionate research on the original sounds, nuances and timbres gives it an immediately identifiable uniqueness. The outcome ( result) is an intense style and a solid sound that is and will be the trademark of the band.
The cd, from first to last track, is a journey that starts in our cinematographic culture of the 60's and get up to today with vintage and lounge sounds at the same time.

The classy touch of the guitarist Francesco Poeti makes the compositions more enjoyable and singable . Chiara Noschese is the voice of the cover of Estate, the wonderful Bruno Martino's tune. Her verve and sweetness makes it a nu classic lounge of nowadays.

The live set looks as a very gripping vigorous event, inspired by the magic 60's nights full of sensual and infectious rhythms . On the stage the instruments are strictly VINTAGE Original organs with their charming look produce the strongly sci-fi sound.
